Words. My only company. I

Words. My only company. I write for fun. I write for freedom. I write because I need to feel the electricity as the ink flows through the pen completing my thoughts, wishes, dreams, fantasies...emptying my soul, yet somehow, making me feel whole. This feeling I can't control. The anxiety of the pen soaring across the paper, searching for the perfect words to document this anxiety. I write because people need to see the demons within me. Then, moments later....I'm free. Free of anxiety. Euphoria. And these words become my only company.

Each poet has different reasons for writing their poetry, and I think the most honest part of this poem is when you describe how you write because people need to see the demons within you. Once we get words written down, they become more real and we can actually see who we are.

I completely agree! For me writing has always been like the ultimate release, whether im angry, happy or sad or just anything writing has always been how i let go of everything I feel that I`ll never say.
