The woman behind the curtain, Now who could that be

Everybody seems to know her except for me.

Oh yeah I hide behind a curtain, a very thick one

For if I pull them back I know I will be shunned.

See, I aint have the uggs, or them fresh new j's

Because my mama was single and we were hungry some days.

But I ap-pre-ci-ate her though to the fullest cause she really tried

Though the lack of glitz and glam made me wanna hide.

So I drew the curtains back that day in 2nd grade

I didnt get no applause or a standing ovation

From that day one I was in my own nation.

I havent built up the courage, strengh, or self esteem,

To pull the curtains back and just be me.

On the inside im strong, confident and outgoing

But, on the outside I become a whole new person.

On the outside im quiet kinda timid, some say boring

That  aint stop my grades from soaring.

This aint no chiche, I will tell you that

It's the truth from inside, take a look aroung you could probably see me sitting in the back.......
