On that Wonderful, Magical Night

On that wonderful, magical night,

Many long stalks reach high as if trying to touch the sun's last rays.

The stalks surround you in a bright green, contrasting the color of the smooth brown earth,

That falls softly between one's hands, still wet from the afternoon’s rain.

Above, the sound of seagulls mimics the crashing waves.

The distance holds the sound of waves crashing against the hard earth then back onto itself,

As if to cry out her most recent journey.

The sky is cloudless, and the colors in it are magnificent, so outstanding no human eye can

Interpret the exact colors.

The sky a canvas that God himself created, for once again no human is capable to create such

Beauty.

The air is rich and when you breathe in, the scent of after-rain, sweet maize, and the salty sea,

Overwhelms you and every negative thought falls apart.

As you walk away from the evening you can spot the bright blue and foamy white waves abiding

And residing along the sandy shore.

Seconds past, too fast, you hold your breath knowing that this magical moment is all too good

And because of that, will surely disappear,

Only too come back different making you forget what exactly what you saw

On that wonderful, magical night.

Seconds past, too fast, you hold your breath knowing that this magical moment is all too good
And because of that, will surely disappear,
Only too come back different making you forget what exactly what you saw
On that wonderful, magical night.
