Women's Rights

Isn't it ironic that the same person responsible for bringing you into this world had to fight years of oppression in order to have a say in your future?
Ancient civilizations would create statues-such as the Venus of Willendorf-to honor and represent women.
A woman was put to a higher standard, worshipped even, because they are responsible for a miracle-creating life.
Forty-two years-the amount of time it took for women to win the right to vote. Now known as the 19th Amendment to the constitution.
Susan B. Anthony a leader, an activist, and most importantly a woman. Her name, her thoughts, her actions echo through the feminist of today.
She has opened doors of opportunities that would have otherwise been closed.
