Women are perceived as dainty little precious things

Flowers that must be preserved; they should never blossom

Unless given the blessing of a man

Women are not little puny flowers that need permission to blossom and bloom

Our bodies are not rare jewels that need to be hidden

Our figures are ours to choose what WE would want to look like

Our bodies are not a feast for you to yearn for

With drooling mouths and pervish eyes

Women deserve the same respect as the other gender that seems to try to rule this earth

No patriarchy nor matriarchy

Just equality

Women, open your eyes and realize

That judging each other over petty things such as clothes and sexual choices

Is just slowing down our cause and drowning it to sea

Every slam and insult you rail against women

Every ounce of ‘slut’ shame

Every inkling of shaming those who are ‘prude’

Every.Single.One.

Every time you use those terms you give men an excuse to judge us

Women stand together and let yourselves be free

Dress how you want

Eat how you want

Rid this world of those tainted “virtues” known as being lady like

Do not allow others to shame you for your bodily functions

Pooping, burping and farting are not unlady like

They are natural

Do not let men tell you how to dress

Wear as much or as little clothing as you’d like

Do not let men tell you whether or not you should “paint” your face

Wear as much or as little makeup as you want

None at all if it doesn’t suit your fancy

For our bodies are not something they can dictate

Be as promiscuous as you want

Or stay abstinent if you want

If it’s okay for men then it should be okay for us

In a world where most of the governments are controlled by men

In a world where young girls are brainwashed into thinking that they must cover up or they will be sexual objects

trained to believe that by dressing as what society perceives as ‘trashy’ is asking for it

where they learn that if a girl does certain things in situations that SHE is to blame instead of HE

NO MORE

Women stand together and fight against these tainted and vile things

Created by men to keep control over women

Do not shame one another over these issues that men created

If a man can do it then so can we

We are just as strong, just as capable, and just as human as they

Do not pretend to be something you’re not just to please these standards

Because one day you will meet someone;

male or female

That will love you for you and will not define you based off of your

“Ladylike virtues”

Or by how “tainted” your flower is

Be you; no matter who that is

You are beautiful ladies and your body parts or lack of body parts do not define your gender
