Wolves

I wish we were taught how to walk

Or to strut, flaunt our stuff

To others wearing blindfolds

I wish we were taught how to talk

Or to yell, sing and shout

To others wearing earplugs

I wish we were taught how to cry

Or to mourn, beg and plead

To others wearing white gloves

I wish we were given blindfolds

Or earplugs or white gloves

To block out the sight,

And the sound and feeling,

Of wolves, dressed as sheep,

Devouring the world
