WITHOUT A HEART

Thu, 04/14/2016 - 22:52 -- kreve8

The rhythmic beat of life,

the reason I breathe, even the reason I laugh and cry.

Without my heart I wouldn’t be alive, I am not capable of living without it.

Having heart is what keeps me motivated, keeps me moving with each beat.

Without my heart I’d be cold, emotionless and careless;

Immune to the pain that surrounds me every day.

I’d be ignorant to the world and its issues,

blind to the problems and the people that are reaching out for help.

She fills us with warmth and speaks to us silently,

tells us right from wrong with a deep inner feeling.

Sometimes broken to millions, other times captivated and filled with love.

Pumping the liquid of life, three-sixty-five.

Reminding us not to leave our loved ones behind, and giving us reason to fight.

Our heart fills us with happiness and is the reason we glow.

Fills us with passion and aspiration;

Gives us the strength to carry on when were down,

and keeps hope alive when we need it the most.

All feelings, passions and dreams impossible without it;

I cannot imagine how I could live on, without a heart.
