Without a Goodbye

Location

Follow me back to a moment in time

A memory for me. In a crypt. In my mind.

Waiting for him, it's an hour past five

In comes Drew with his broken blue eyes.

He sits across me in a cold seat that grinds,

Taylor, next to me laughs, she's a friend that was once mine.

A crunch burger? Oh, and cheeses with my fries,

What are you all having? Shakes, they reply.

We laugh, and look back, and before we are done,

We all have to go, that's it for the fun.

Quick, stop! I'm not ready for this moment to end,

It's only begun. It's just three, let's pretend.

But time doesn't stop for anyone anymore

And gone are my friends, through the exit door.
