Ariel.the outcast poet's verse:
What lies within?
Passion that's exploding from a heart holding, expression,
Expressing what eye see out of my eye view mirror,
life,
that's crumpled up in front of me,
in the palm of my hands,
I'm holding... me,
Looking at my life through me,
my broken-ness,
I'm broken,
The cracks in my hands are open,
I'm walking my fingers through this puzzle,
tryna put the pieces together,
who am I?
do I even know what lies inside?
what lies, are lies that I told,
traded in honesty for deceit cause my past never graduated to the present,
a memory of humiliation put a fork in my stomach and fed me lies,
I ate every last one and learned how to cook em up, adapt and be a liar myself,
one moment changed how I looked at my face in the mirror eternally,
hatred became my only vocabulary,
It's unusual for me to be myself that's what I believed since I was eight,
a mask, has been my only expression,
never letting anyone take it off or even see how hard it's become,
it's heavy, so much weight to carry because it's not me entirely,
it's lies that I let sink into my skin and transform me into something that's a false reality,
but I adapted,
I gave allowance to an experience in my past and it took all my money,
my heart and soul,
I let it take power over my body,
defining every part that I owned,
locking me up, putting bars on my heart,
closing it up,
chasing away reality cause I was already caught by the distortion of my thoughts,
changed for good,
what lies within is a young women trying to understand what damaged her,
what put her behind silent walls,
what made her scared of life itself,
what lies is a long journey of eyes, discovering her untold story,
it's buried deep down inside, so she's digging deep,
for the treasure, the gold that gives off a shine on the surface
found not by looking in
it lies,
within.

courage that lies within waiting to explode like a volcano
dying to tell that special person i love you
the love is covered by layers of fear
vulnerability is the shield that protects feelings from hurtful scorns
that can destroy a person's soul without reason that fathoms excuses to not be close
looking at life through my eyes
eye must rely on other keen senses that will not be fool by charm
i want to be that rose that opens up gracefully that dazzles people in which they can't help ,but notice its natural beauty
nowadays, exploitation has risen to a whole new plateau
where seeking out one's weakness by manipulations that is a root to all evil
looking at life through me
the skin and movement of my hands open
i'm navigating my fingers through a jigsaw puzzle
and making sense of it by putting the pieces together to fully understand people
i know who i am
i know what i'm capable of
it's only a matter of bringing out the best in me
what lies within, lies that are told in which the truth will come to light
where secrets are no longer kept quiet
traded in honesty for deceit cause a person's past never graduated to the present
therefore became a long term relationship dropout
past memories of disappointment sticks a fork in my stomach where i become
someone that i despise
I ate a few, cook up a little something, but later on , i spit it out, had a sour taste to my mouth
i will not give into temptations of taking out my disgust on a woman that have nothing
to do with my past relationship failures
hatred is not in my vocabulary
but strength is when i let you go because you are toxic
so poisonous that it eats away at your own soul before anyone else
i will not give into evil who tries to reap, but will not sow
i will not give into becoming cold as ice
it will not suppress my heart and soul,
it will not conquer power over my body,
i define what i own, it belongs to me
i will not be imprison locking me up, putting bars on my heart,
where i'm unable to escape from harsh realities
unclouded by the distortion of my thoughts,
what lies within is a man that wants to be nurtured
who will break down those silent walls
show courage through the midst of fear
what lies is a long journey of eyes, discovering my biography of me
it's buried, but not deep
there lies the treasure, the gold that gives off a shine on the surface
found not by looking in
but within you
