Wish heaven had a Phone (c)

Location

(poems go here)

Wish Heaven had a phone so I could hear your voice again.

I thought of you today,

but that is absolutely nothing new.

I thought about you yesterday,

and day before that too.

I think of you in silence,

I often speak your name.

All I have are memories and a picture in a frame.

Your memory is a keepsake, from which I'll never part.

God has you in HIS arms, I have you in my heart.

Heaven has a staircase and its staircase is life,

Death envies me cold and stares me in the eyes,

I don't want to hold on anymore,

I just want to run up the staircase..

I know someday I will,

-To see your face-

but until then,

Ill keep wishing for heaven to have a phone.

I can dial heaven...

and God will answer,

but when I ask for you,

He says you're busy,

I just wish heaven had a phone,

connected directly to you.
