Wise and Broken

A mask she wears all the timeShe hides her pain with every rhymeShe does not speak of what is trueShe only speaks of those you knew Hiding her pain behind her apathyShe doesn't talk 'cause she wants no sympathyNo one will know, no one would understandIt sounds cliche, but it happens often Wise beyond her years, and broken beyond repairShe can never speak of her despairShe hates attention and fake sympathyShe lies and never cries, abusing her apathy No one will know what she knowsThe pain inside, she will never showIt's not for pride, it's not for anythingShe's dead inside, but no one knows a thing When she breaks down, she shuts downNo one knows the pain she feelsShe keeps it locked away, like a hidden crownShe hates the pain, and clings to her apathy Wise beyond her years, and broken beyond repairShe can never speak of her despairShe hates attention and fake sympathyShe lies and never cries, abusing her apathy Stop thinking you know herYou don't even know her painYou'd say you understandBut you've never felt such things It's worse than you thinkWorse than you could imagineShe hides behind words and her apathyNeeding help without fake sympathy Wise beyond her years, and broken beyond repairShe can never speak of her despairShe hates attention and fake sympathyShe lies and never cries, abusing her apathy That girl needs to die, but she stays for youCaring not for pride, but for those she knewShe craves death but faces lifeLong gone inside, she needs to die
