Wireless (Cut The Cord)
I cut the cord and now I’m floating here
above the bloody mess that
used to be the thing they called me
not quite a person just me
I felt so free
free from all the things
that seem to suggest that
I am anything less than human
not worthy of respect or kindness
there was no color there
no concept of size
no concept of quantitative units
used to determine worth
For the first time I had worth
I was weightless
I was colorless
But I was dead but so free
and I was worth something
This poem is about:
Me
