WINTER'S VEIL

WINTER’S VEIL: by Paul Gray

On my balcony I settle
As the eve of day sets in
Warming hands above my kettle
Evening crisp around my den

Snowy blankets left by billows
Carefully spread by winter cloaks
There displayed like icy pillows
Thick beneath the leafless oaks

All the signs I see are present
Celebrations soon at hand
Roast the pig and stuff a pheasant
Gather friends throughout the land

As this Solstice tide brings with her
Tells the world shall soon renew
And we see Great father Winter
Clear as season signs ensue

Soon as Azeroth rejoices
Dwarves and Tauren tell their tale
Feasting happy, raising voices
Toast the coming winters veil
