Winters Embrace

The snow falls softly over your pale skin etched in fine detail, with a horror that always seem to possess those eyes with a hint of red blushed round the rim of your shadowed eyes, death must have kissed them for your eyes to look so haunting and beautiful. Long dark hair slips through my fingers as I caress it close to my face, so soft and dark as midnight. You're still body, it’s ice cold, I see your veins blue as the deep sea, under your pale soft skin. Cheeks bruised slightly pink from the cold delicate snowflakes that seep their cold into the skin they have now claimed, they catch in your hair and lashes, pure black frame those sad brown eyes that always seem to be looking into some abyss that no one else can see. How I hate that. To be able to leave this forsaken place just like that. How I had wished for this moment, to finally see your scarlet tears, for you to match what you truly are a corpse. In the snow you look like a daughter of winter, waiting for her dark prince to kiss her frozen lips; stop the ruby tears from flowing down your face into the white snow. It’s sad yet so beautiful to see death kiss you. As I watch you leave I see that the abyss you were looking into was sweet deaths eyes that haunts your dreams so lovingly, for you said once “ The dark is so kinder then the light which burns, I wish my dark prince would save me from this light and tell me forever he will shroud me in his soft dark embrace”. Forever now she will be loved by her dark prince. Forever now I shall be damned to live in this accursed hell. Forever she said. Forever was her name. Forever death now loves..............Forever.
