i am not a parent
to my young people, they see me as a parent
i accept it with honor knowing that everyday is a war zone
i save lives by educating them that doesn't require breaking a bone
when i heard the shooting at sandy hook
disturbance of someone to kill innocent lives is worse than being con by a crook
to see people shed in tears is disheartening
to know that their child's life was taken is something never admiring
cowardly act by a young person to take his own life
knowing that what he'll suffer is more than death that is beyond trife
although lives are gone
their spirits will rejuvenate the school's spirit
their angelic voices of warmth and passion will annihilate widespread of violence to end
social network discussion to end gun control, gun violence, ignorance is the worldwide trend
unite as one and stand up to this cause
it's okay to have a moment of silence and pause
laws need to be more enforce that require an actual legal clause
this rapid violence of lives being taken needs to stop
we need to police our community and endorse the importance of safety like a cop
don't paint a negative picture of how unsafe a school is
reassure to little ones that school is a learning and nurture place to flourish with a bliss
