26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and will cause you to remember everything I said to you.

 

 

God’s Will

 

Oh, Dear Lord Your Will is here ... seldom understood.

There are things You tolerate ... and some that You cause.

Permitted in many ways ... You tolerate every mood,

and let us wallow in the mire ... as a promise with a clause.

 

How do we know God’s desire for our lives today?

Is it when we’re filled with the Holy Spirit?

But what if we quench Him and not perceive what He says?

Is not all then misconstrued and only He has to bear it?

 

Everything that goes wrong in life ... we seem to blame on Him.

Personal responsibility assigned ... to be a thing of the past

God causes things to happen ... but seldom what we think

as we’re investing time and effort ... in things that do not last?

 

Permissiveness in God’s plan I cannot handle.

Why does not He stop the stupid things I do?

And when I sin why does not He prevent it?

He is Almighty that I know and I am such a fool.
