why were you scared?

You thought silence was your friend, sitting alone with only fantasies in mind

No one would understand them, you were alone, only someone in the background

High school came, speech and debate was supposed to help. It didn't.

You took art and pursued it, people must surely fantasize here too?

Two years later, in your third year of art

You're the first to volunteer and have your ideas heard

You know now you aren't alone

Everyone sees you as their friend, the girl who isn't afraid

She speaks her mind confidently without dependancy

After everything that's happened, the question still lingers,

Why were you ever afraid?
