Why should we be the ones to pay?

All we ever did was grow up

Innocent, curious, human.

We were born into this world

Through no fault of our own.

Our only sin is living.

So why do we pay their debts?

Why are we punished

For their sins?

Dear God above,

You know our hearts,

You know our innocence,

Save us from this madness.

We just want to live.

I want to run away,

Away from all of this,

Away from everyone.

Been hurt too many times,

Betrayed time and again,

And all I’ve done is existed.

Take me away from here,

Let me run away from it all—

Let me disappear.

I don’t know who to trust—

How to trust—

Anymore.
