I don't write for them

The world is not my audience

These lines are not gems

Poetry is not a science

I don't write because I feel

I have no inspration

I don't fish and reel

My words require no interpretation

I don't write for the praise

I care not for applause

I don't set emotions ablaze

Behind each syllable is no cause

I am no prodigy

I don't do it for you

I don't prophecy

I write simply because I do.
