Why I Write
Location
I write out of sadness and loss of self.
Nose running, eyes overflowing, heart pounding;
An overwhelming feeling of despair;
A room full of treasured, old memories;
Good times fading, head spinning;
An echo of your voice in the back of my mind;
A voice that will never be heard again.
Hands shaking, body aching;
All that is left is a mental album of what was.

Your poem really spoke to me about how hard it is to lose someone you love.
As you write, I hope you feel less despair and more freedom through
expressing yourself. I started writing when I was twelve. At this age, I was
able to voice all of my cares and concerns through poetry. As I grew older, my
poetry evolved to the point where I could write about funny, happy, quirky,
specific, and unique experiences. Over time you may feel the same way. Based
on this poem, I know you are such a talented poet! You are so descriptive:
"nose running, eyes overflowing, heart pounding;" "hands shaking; body aching"
I like the way you take your poetry to the next level and describe the senses.
The more you do this, the more a reader will show interest in your poem.
Your descriptive language grabbed my attention and made me more curious about
your poem. (that's a positive thing) Keep Writing!
