Why?

Luke 19:41-42

Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem

41 Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

Why?

The tears of the Lord are hitting my roof

Should I fix the leaks?

The cry of the Lord is reaching my soul

Do I stretch His goals?

The plea of the Lord so softly comes

Am I shouting out?

"Follow the Lord, He is always right "

and I myself fall out?

Do I drown out the voice of the Lord

with my own will?

Do I hide the purpose of life?

As hiding slowly kills.

What is indifference but

that part that strays

and what is insensitivity

but that what hampers prayer.
