Why did you go?
Why did you leave?
Was there anything I could have done?

Now as I sit here and cry
I wonder why.

I miss you so much
And I can't bring you back.

I want to hear your voice again
Hear you laugh
And see your beautiful blue eyes.

I never knew how much you meant to me
And now that you're gone
I realize you meant the world to me.

What drove you to that?
Did you think about what you were leaving behind?
Did you think about what would happen?
Or were you just thinking about heaven
And how amazing it would be.

I wish you would have brought me with you
Because now I'm stuck with the pain.
It hurts so much to think about you
But you're always on my mind.

Did it have to be that way?
Why did you have to go so soon?
Was staying here on earth with us really all that bad?

I try to understand and I think I do sometimes
One day maybe I will truely understand.

I hope you're happy now
And all the pain is gone.

Please don't forget me
And all of the pain you left behind.

I know someday I'll see you again
But when will that day come?
If I follow in your footsteps it won't be too long.

Why did you have to go?
Wasn't there anything we could have done?

Beautiful poetry that sadden me. When I read this poem I have observed that the reader lost his or her loved on to sucide and looking for answered why she or he commited sucide. Sometimes when we are so lost in our depression world we are looking for ways to end our long lasting pain, isloation, or even a nightmare that we consantly live day in and night out.
