Who is your god?

Don’t try and deny it. Everyone has one. Yes, maybe it’s a different shape, or form, or idea than those other “religious” people but it’s still there. Don’t give me the “I’m atheist” or “ I’m agnostic” remarks. Those are titles granted to the “first-world” people who pursue “science” or “knowledge.” Tell me. Please, explain to me. What is the difference between saying, “I am a man of science” or “I am a man of God”? Both are saying that you are a man “of” something. So, I am sorry to say but “science” is your god. Do you believe? Of course you do. You are human, therefore, you believe in something. Do you believe that we –humans – were created? Do you believe the earth spins? Do you believe you are more than just a chemically bound mess of atoms and electricity? What do you believe in? If you believe in something than you won’t need “proof”. Why does a child believe in Santa, the sandman, Easter bunnies, tooth fairies, or wishing on stars? Because someone they believe in told them it was true. Who do you believe? Did you put your trust in someone? Did they wrong you? Did they leave? Did they mess up? Did they die? Why did you trust them? Why did you believe them? Was it because you had faith in them? In what they did? In what they could do? Ah, there. You see. You have faith. You can trust. You do believe. But what do you believe in? Who do you trust? Where does your faith lie?
