Who left the tap on?

Who left the tap on?

When his building storm spills out,
She is made to carry the overflow

He refuses to call a plumber
And there’s only so much flooding this room can take

He gives way to an unrestrained downpour
So she becomes a towel

She is responsible for cleaning the messes
Although he was the one who never learned how to build a dam

And when she finally has time to care for her own waters
All she can hear from outside the bedroom door is

            drip

                        drip

                                    drip
