Who I Am

Thu, 12/12/2019 - 03:27 -- yasmin4

My worth is defined by the beauty

of my soul, my heart, my brain,

and my moral character.

NOT by the way I look or dress.

I see a world full of negativity and hatred.

Everywhere I look, I see labels.

You have to dress a certain way,

You have to look a certain way

You have to have a certain body

No makeup=No Beauty

    Too skinny=Not good

Too fat=You’re ugly

    36-24-36=Perfect

Nothing in this world is perfect.

So why is this world trying to label me?

I want to dress the way I want.

I want to look the way that makes me feel beautiful.

I don’t want to be 36-24-36

Let me be thick curvy girl that I am.

I don’t need makeup

And I certainly don’t need your negative labeling, judgmental self in my life.

                Let me be me

                    Let me live free.
