This Is Who I Am

When asked how to define myself, I used to wonder what I would say.

Would I know what I've become at the end of the day?

From the outside, I am a shy but happy, blue-eyed girl,

But on the inside I  am trying to find my place in the world.

Full of wonder and facisnation with things I do not understand

Eyes bright with joy and hope as I think about my plans.

How will I affect all of the people who surround me?

I hope to leave a mark so big that people can't help but see

The joy that I have left, when I have left this world behind.

I am a lover of English, Astronomy, and Art.

A curious soul searching the world, looking for my part.

When asked how I define myself, this is what I'll say:

I am who I am, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
