Who Are You Asking?

Once I asked the Idealist, “What is love?” The Idealist answered, “It’s a powerful force, a feeling of magical nature, deeper than the earth.” Then the Pessimist retorted,“The deeper the love, the deeper the hurt.” But then the Optimist quickly added,“Though it does hurt, it helps you growand as long as you learn from pain, the heart will eventually heal when the the knowledge Of love and love of self is gained.” After words, the Realist spoke,“Love is never ideal. It’s a contradiction: It is simple yet complex. It is imperfect yet perfect. It is true that you can lose love, but there is always more lovethat comes after the next. It is an erratic, irrational superstition. It makes no sense to our senses, like a primal urge.It is invaluable,it’s not even equivalent to a single cent. It is a mystery that not even science can solve:All we know now is that it had helpedand it helps us evolve.”  Then I asked again, “What do you do when you find love?” The Opportunist said, “Don’t go to find love, but let love find you. When it does find you, embrace it,and if it is true, never let go and hold it close to you.” Processing all these answers, I wonder, who should I listen to.Who among the Idealist, the Pessimist, the Optimist, the Realist, and the Opportunist, is the most true?I guess it depends on who you’re asking.
