Who Am I?

Who am I?
The question is so often asked.
They want to know who I am.
Who is the girl behind the mask?
I save my answers,
To scared for them to know,
The girl who you see,
Is not the girl that I know.
The girl I know is scared and tired
Scared of people's thoughts,
Scared that she's going to be her mom.
The girl that I know is a doormat.
In front of people she crumbles.
She doesn't want to be outspoken.
The fear is too much for her to handle.
She worries too much.
She worries about everything:
Her hair, her clothes, the things she says,
The people that are in her life but,
She worries the most that she'll never be happy.
She doesn't care about herself.
She does what is expected
Go to school, have a job, bring home the right guy,
Never step outside the lines.
Be who everyone else wants you to be.
Do what you have to do to make others happy and
Never, ever do something for yourself.
The girl I know,
She will never do what she wants.
She is too scared to disappoint others.
She wants to be like everyone else,
Just living their lives,
She is existing but is never truly living.
So you want to know who I am.
The answer is,
Who do you want me to be?
