Who am I?
Location
Who am I?
I am myself.
While filters do not lie,
They definitely enhance
The minor imperfections that only I can see.
Without filters,
My zit is apparent,
The discoloration of my skin is obvious
And my color looks more pale than tan.
But that is what makes me, me.
When I speak without filters,
My words may sound harsh.
This may not be good,
This may be great.
My conversations with people
Would become much longer
Because nothing would be help back.
My words would also become much nicer,
If no filter was there.
I would tell the girl whom no one speaks to,
That her hair looks lovely today.
No filters mean the truth and
The truth is what makes me, me.
Filters make people feel better,
That is why people use them.
But I hope I never forget,
That the original version of myself
Is the best version out there.
My imperfections should not be covered or filtered,
they should be embraced.
There is only one me.
And I am enough.
Perfectly imperfect is what makes me, me.
