I soar through the night
On a cool summer’s breeze.
I land on the very tops of the trees
To search the cold ground, ready to fight.
I span out my feathery arms so to glide,
To find a worthier foe like a knight.
To see my contender would be a delight,
I hunt my opponent because he will hide.
I know I will find him through the night so dreary,
For I see his head coming out of the brush.
I start to swoop down and try not to rush,
He comes out now because he knows I am weary.
He sees me coming and tries to run,
But the razors I hold come out just in time,
I’ve been silent until now, just like a mime.
I let out my cry with the coming sun.
To let my adversaries know I will come
And my pride show, I Hoo! Hoo!
Hoo! Hoo!!
