while i sleep

the children are sleeping.

society decides,

“It is convenient for us to

destroy dreams.

we will tell them to dream bigger

because the bigger they dream,

the harder they will fail,

the more we will profit.

If they want to change the world,

they must pay a heavy tax

to learn how.

We will rig it from the inside:

If they want education:

They pay.

If they want to not die:

They pay.

If they want the bare necessities:

They pay.

If they want to fight back:

They pay.”

“but the future is in their hands?”

“They pay.

Because it is most convenient for

us.”

They pay.

the children wake up.
