Which is Which?

What is the full meaning of being awesome?

What does it mean to you?

Is it having a nice house or expensive clothes,

or is it the way people look up to you?

Maybe it's how you ride nice cars and smoke a junk of pot,

or taking the time to talk to your grandparents while they talk, a lot.

No-no, you're only awesome when you tell people you spent your whole weekend at the bar,

instead of taking a moment to help the old man take his groceries to his car.

Were you cool when you hit that boy at school in the face?

Or was it even better when you helped your team at the tournament win first place?

I thought you were awesome when you held that little girl's hand when she cried,

and even that time when you went to your son's game and set your job aside.

Gosh, you showed me this characteristic when you had the courage to ask me to dance.

And even when you thought everything in the world has gone wrong,

you still gave it a chance.

Don't you see? It's not the things you have that make you awesome and amazing.

It's the things you do that have us admire and hope to start embracing.
