Where I Am From

United States
36° 25' 35.3604" N, 86° 48' 43.1712" W

I am from people who care
and my big sister's secrets and dares,
From women no men

I am from playing Super Mario to Resident Evil Zero
and going crazy with my two weirdos,
From red to black nail fads
and gold and silver do-dads

I am from stinky motels and crowded bars
and nice churches and rad cars,
From yelling and screaming
to slapping and hitting

I am from hot biscuits and gravy
and red apples and strawberries,
From grilled cheese, green-beans and mash-taters
and eggs, chocolate pies and maters

This is a condensed story about my childhood.
