When My Ears Don't Work

I am distracted

I feel the percussions in my head

My veins keep vibrating

But my vocal chords are standing still

My foot is jumping

My heart is racing like a snare

My hair is singing

But my eyes are pinned shut

Im breathing in oceans

I wont let them out

Im out of breath

The waves crash in my chest

And I'm looking up

I cannot see

The lines in my face

They open their mouth

The lines they come out

Im lost in the sound

Im going blind

But my rib cage is dancing

My ears are telling me no

But my lungs are begging for more

I feel the sweat from my hair

Addicted to the distractions

I want to stop

But mi muscles keep drumming

Im breathing in oceans

I wont let them out

Im out of breath

The waves crash in my chest

And I'm looking up

I cannot see

The lines in my face

They open their mouth

The lines they come out

Im lost in the sound

Im no longer on earth

Im up on the moon

I refuse to exhale

My arms growing pale

I cant see a thing

I am still alive

Im finally free

The waves in my neck

I take just one breath

And the tsunami sings.
