When Life Was Simple

When Life Was Simple

Your old man is turning 50 like mine

But I won’t be there to sing tonight

He used to say when I’d visit everyday

I’d never met to girls who could not separate

Will I see you in the evening?

One more time before I go?

Because old friend I miss the days when life was simple

When We trekked around backyard trails together

Green grass and wood chips stretched forever and ever

Andie & Shannon - “An Inseparable Team”

And do you remember those two weeks when we were riddled with flu?

Locked inside the house; there was nothing we could do

Except for make up for lost time when we got better

Meanwhile we’ll sit in the loft bed and nurse each other back to health

Because we were all we had

Will I see you in the evening?

One more time before I go?

Because old friend I miss the days when life was simple

I miss my loving sister
