When I'm weak ...

Hebrews 6:19-20

19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast,

and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner

has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever

according to the order of Melchizedek.

Protection from collapse inside

If it is not for You my Lord ... collapse is surely certain.

Nothing holds together ... with only bands of selfishness.

Yes, it is only You ... my Lord keeps “me” in one-ness,

even though contradiction ... shows my helplessness.

My decaying temple ... is filled with sacrifices.

Most taken away from others ... to gain these for myself.

You came in one day ... and cleansed “my” sanctuary.

Since then I carried stuff back ... in security for myself.

Yes I celebrated when ... You cleansed my inner.

Joy filled the air ... and happiness became mine.

Through the winds of time ... my character integrated,

Compromising the purity ... that You gave in life for mine.

My flesh fights for survival ... and oft gains the upper hand.

It wants to direct my life...  and seems so often out of touch

Leaning on self-righteousness ... and deeds that sound good

As it goes through life with habits ... that appear good as such.
