When I think of Her

When I think of her all I can do is smile, I feel her heartbeat across all these miles. I think of our little vacation, away from our worries and reservations.  Wishing for more than two days, forever seems like light years away.

Oh my, oh my what can I say ? She stole my heart before I could turn away.  A key swiped from a rusty padlock, feelings of euphoria and shock.

Six months so far, still find myself thanking the stars. I still get butterflies and nerves, and it's all due to her. The hold she has on me, I never wanna break free. A healthy relationship, that's a first for me.

I know one day soon I'll have to tell them. Though I feel they already know, my love for this woman I should be able to show. It hurts my soul. The beautiful soul I call my love.

The love of my life, I never thought I'd find. She loves me even when I further lose my mind. My true feelings I cannot hide. When I think of her, all I can do is smile. I sure hope her saying forever will last awhile.
