What They Say

Sat, 06/11/2016 - 18:47 -- EmmeM

They say people come and they go,

But mine seem to sitck like stone

Always around to remember

What I could do better.

They say the best place to be is home.

But what if home is sturdy like bone?

Never leaving me alone.

Movement is not how we grow,

Change won't become our backbone.

They say it's good to be known,

But my heart keeps needing to be re-sown.

Eventually there is someone who understands,

Until they chose to hold someone else's hand.

They say the best place to be is home.

But what if I'm done being grown?

Never being left alone.

Movement is not how we grow,

Change won't become our backbone,

But without those things I just can't see

How to keep my sanity.
