What My Heart Wants

My heart belongs to you,

It beats for you.

It only wants you,

And no one else.

But my body rejects you

completely.

I am disgusted by your presence.

I want to forget you,

But my heart longs for you.

How can someone as wicked as you

Still have a place in my heart?

How can someone so genuine to me

Hurt me so badly

That not even tears can erase my pain?

How can you stare at me so sweetly

After breaking my heart?

Why didn't I see this before?

All of those compliments you showered me with

They were lies?

They were lies.

Words mean nothing

Expressions do, and you look guilty.

So don't bother talking to me

Like everything is all right

Because it's not.

My heart may long for you,

My heart may beat for you,

My heart may belong to you,

But I don't.
