What Matters Most Lies Within

In Front of the camera she is the world’s beauty, But in front of the mirror she is her own enemy. Her make-up covers her flaws, Moreover, her appearance is a part of her moral laws. Yet, when alone she tells another story, Where the only feelings she shows are hate and worry. On the runway she shines like the world’s brightest star, And on TV, her smile tries to cover every scar. “There’s too much to hide,” she cries, “I’m perfectly flawed and full of so many lies…” She is the hero, the goddess of beauty. Oh how little girls wish they were as lucky. To be as dainty and free, Moreover, it is to not feel so painfully ugly. “My weight, my face, my height, my race, I’m such a disgrace…” She reaches for the blade, Her face is turning a pale shade. She was once seen as the figure of beauty. She is now seen as a hideous catastrophe of vanity. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, Therefore, beauty does not come from a cold shoulder. But from a person with a heart that is livelier. What matters is what lies inside. Nothing matters from the outside. A beautiful human does only good deeds, They do not care for what their physical being needs. The soul a good person carries, has the power to change the world.
