What makes me Flawless

I hear the alarm

I look up and it's 5:00 in the morning, I snooze,

I need shower but what's the point, I am not trying to impress anyone,

I can go without perfume

No more flashy clothes, no more jewelry,

Stop covering up the flaws with clothes that are too big,

No more foundation to cover my scars,

I am only a girl and I will not hide who I am

I will accept and love beautiful me

Everyone always compliments you "You look so nice" "Your hair looks great" "I love your outfit"

But how does it feel when the real you is all covered up and all they see is the mask that shields you

Protects you from the humiliation

You used to pass up all the food at the lunch table with your friends

You were always supposed to be the skinny girl

Then it all changed

You didn't pass up on the curly fries anymore

You take the foundation off

You take off your tight jeans

Let your hair air dry and let it get curly and crazy

No one looks at you anymore

But when you look in the mirror you love yourself
