What Love Should Be
He, she, they, or I,
a deep dwelling in those crystal eyes.
Emotion built, brick by brick,
head, heart, and soul that play these tricks.
Arms wound around your waste, yours around their neck,
bodies close, a comfort kept.
Mother or daughter, brother or sister, significant others,
warm smiles that light the room, contentment in their presence.
Love should be complete, whole, and no difficult task,
to stand alone for its worth each to live and bask.
Love is to forgive, accept, cherish, and protect,
to fight to not lose, to love with no end.
Between siblings, parents, couples, and friends.
