What keeps you?

Acceptance.

We seek it everywhere, from everyone;

The little voice that preys upon our mind.

We all want to be accepted by others,

Our quirks, our flaws, our very being.

I want to be accepted.

My quirks, my flaws, my being;

I don’t want to be an outcast.

Judged for different ways of doing things,

Just to be me, and that would change everything.
