(poems go here) Fire hydrant erupting with joy
traveling bells roll down the block
cars turn to couchs
fold up chairs are permanently parked
acquiring frequent flyer miles at the bodega
hula hoops and jump ropes orbit around children
sidewalks covered in vibrant colors
the streets heartbeat is reggaeton
the blinding sun causes
their skin to shimmer like diamonds
everyone lives in the moment
we are not aware that
this season will end.
