what i learned from rehab

We sit around in circles telling stories of the past.

Some of war, some of love,

some of loss, some of laughs.

We sit around in circles smoking cigarettes till they’re butts.

Clutching to our memories

to keep from going nuts.

We sit around in circles because we are all the same.

I sit here staring at my arm,

poking at my vein.

We sit around in circles drinking coffee till were sick.

I think about the things I’ve done,

I’m a piece of shit.

We sit around in circles learning ways to cope.

In hopes that one day we will

learn to stay off dope.
