What He Found Out

A lonley holiday,
drinking to himself.

His hands in his pockets,
more for comfort then warmth.

An unforgiving love.
                          Haunts him.

Pain eats at his soul.
He orders hard whiskey,
trying to drink the pain away.

           is the remedy for suffering.

A hopless never ending road.
A simple lie;
that can never be erased.

She'll realize what she's lost
                                   when he's gone.

Drinking helps.
Falling asleep.
Tears in his eyes.
Brandy in hand.

There is nothing-
                           no darkness-
                                              no light.
