What Dyslexics Really Think
Location
They portray what they think we are on TV.
Though growing up we didn't understand, know or see.
We all think we are like everyone else,
until our teachers deny us and take off their belts.
We think the emotional abuse hits us hard on grades and papers,
until we feel it from the friends, family, and local truth makers.
You start off illiterate and struggle when reading,
As others grow, you feel yourself depleting.
Told you're broken, you scramble to learn everything else.
Dyslexics become lepers, losing confidence and ones mental health.
As life goes on, you see your kind fall behind,
Like a marage you see hope....oh wait..... nevermind.
The battle becomes a passtime and all goes numb,
until life comes along and reminds you that you're labelled dumb.
