We're the Same Inside

When I look around and see

Death and destruction following,

It's then, I wonder what's the beef?

We're all the same inside.

Brown, black, yellow, and white

are colors that tend to identify,

but inside if we just magnify,

We're all the same inside.

Togetherness is what makes us whole

Believe me down to our very souls

through our fingertips and toes

We're all the same inside.

You might answer to Allah,

and others pray to the Shiva,

and may have multiple Gods,

but we're all the same inside.

My favorite color happens to be pink

some hate the color, but stop and think

what would the sun be as it rises

without every color spilling the horizon

Shootings, manifestos, and of course war

have shook the lives of so many before

which begs the question every time,

Why? We're all the same inside.
