Wellness

It was so easy to focus on the present.

As a child, I was hopeful in my future and found life to be pleasant.

I loved making up games and visiting my family during my long summer break.

However, when I began attending my middle college high school, I was shaken awake.

In reality, the world was much darker than I had originally thought.

It was all the good things in the world I slowly forgot.

I knew that in order to take high school and college classes at the same time I had to grow up fast.

If I had the same mentality as elementary school me… well, I wouldn’t last.

I began putting stress on my work, never giving myself a break.

Negative emotions became a volcano, leaving lava in its wake.

I finally learned about wellness and how to manage emotions.

It took a long time, but I stopped the emotional explosion.
