There is nothing I hate more
than to watch people suffer
with problems they could easily solve,
all because they're too afraid to say something.
Everyone has that thing they can't say
to anyone else
or that thing they can't even admit to themselves,
and everyone has sentences
that always seem to be on their mind
on
the
tip
of
their
tongue,
but fear often envelops us before confidence can,
and more words go unsaid,
more feelings supressed.
It's ludicrous
for me to ask for your trust
when you hardly know me,
but trust me,
I
have
been
there,
and I know
that sometimes
the hardest thing to say
makes your life so much easier
once it's been said.
Please
do not put yourself
through
stress
and
misery
all because of a conversation you're too scared to have.
Because when it comes down to it,
even the hardest words to say
are nothing to be scared of.
They're just words.
Letters
and syllables
and apostrophes
and spaces.
Nothing more.
Trust me,
I'm a writer.
I know words better than anybody.
And I also know
that when chosen carefully
and uttered respectfully
words can change your life
for
the
better.
I know some things are hard to say,
hard to admit,
hard to even think about,
but if you just use your voice
even if it's cracking and almost silent,
you can lift weight from your chest
that you never even knew was there,
and isn't that worth the risk?
